Between Light and DarknessVisible StructureOBSCURA exists between light and shadow, structure and deconstruction, presence and disappearance.
A study of silhouette as architecture, and darkness as the space where form begins.
OBSCURA explores the relationship between visibility and concealment through form, silhouette, and construction.
The silhouette is shaped by obscurity.
Inspired by the dramatic contrasts of baroque light and shadow, the collection investigates garments as structures that emerge from darkness — partially revealed, partially concealed, never fully visible.
Silhouette becomes unstable, fragmented, and in transition, existing between construction and collapse.
These references inform the atmosphere of the collection, where light reveals only fragments of form while shadow conceals the rest.
The collection draws inspiration from baroque painting, chiaroscuro lighting, classical sculpture, and the concept of camera obscura.
A monochromatic palette of black, gold, charcoal, and off-white reinforces the contrast between visibility and darkness.
Structured tailoring fabrics, lace, and layered textiles create depth, texture, and variation in surface and silhouette.
Silhouettes are displaced, elongated, and asymmetric.
Proportion is manipulated to create tension around the body, allowing garments to form their own architecture rather than follow natural anatomy.
Structure becomes visible.
Classic tailoring serves as the starting point for the collection and is deconstructed through cutting, shifting, layering, and reconstruction.
Internal construction details become visible and transform into key design elements.
Shadow defines the form.
Shadow becomes an active part of the silhouette. It shapes perception, creates depth, and transforms the garment beyond its physical structure.
Like light in baroque painting, which reveals only fragments of a scene while leaving the rest in shadow, the silhouette in OBSCURA is never fully defined.
The silhouette is intentionally left incomplete in perception, never fully visible at once. The result is a silhouette that exists in fragments rather than in totality.
Silhouettes are displaced, fragmented, and built in tension. The garments do not simply follow the body, but create their own architecture around it.
Form emerges from shadow.
Visibility becomes temporary and constantly changing. Layering, shadow, and movement continuously alter its perception.
OBSCURA transforms classic tailoring into sculptural forms through deconstruction, asymmetry, and architectural construction.
The collection redefines the relationship between garment and body, presenting fashion as an exploration of shadow, volume, and evolving form.
